Install an Agent from Agent Gallery
Use this current iDialogue v2 workflow to install a pre-built agent in Salesforce. Installation is a Salesforce Admin workflow. Complete each confirmation in the browser or through a browser tool that the visitor has explicitly authorized.
Before you start
Complete Getting Started first. You also need access to iDialogue Admin and iDialogue AI, permission to install and review agents, and the publisher's password when a package is protected.
Install from Agent Gallery
- In Salesforce, open iDialogue Admin.
- Select Agent Gallery.
- Browse the cards or search by name, category, or description.
- Select Details to review the intended agent and publisher information.
- Select Install on the intended agent.
- If Package Password Required appears, enter the password and select Verify Password.
- Review the preview. Confirm that the name and description match your selection.
- Select Install in the confirmation dialog.
- Wait for Install Complete. Do not start a second install while preview, verification, or installation is running.
The password unlocks the protected preview. Do not place it in project instructions, logs, chat history, or source control. If an authorized browser tool is used, keep the password confined to the protected input and do not persist it.
The manual Package ID installer accepts complete IDs that start with pkg:. Use the ID supplied by the publisher. Do not guess or edit it.
Review the result
After Install Complete:
- Open Agent opens the installed AI Agent record when a record link is available.
- Install Add-On opens the publisher-supplied post-install URL only when an optional add-on is available. Review the destination before authorizing any separate action.
- Done closes the result and keeps Agent Gallery open.
Installation can succeed even when Open Agent cannot load the installed record. Always verify the result:
- Open iDialogue AI.
- Select Agent Studio.
- Find the installed agent by the exact confirmed name.
- Open it and confirm that the intended record loaded before making a change.
Continue with Customize an Agent in Agent Studio.
Resolve installation problems
| Result | Next step |
|---|---|
| Invalid Package ID | Use the complete publisher-provided ID with its pkg: prefix, or return to the Gallery card. |
| Preview failed | Refresh Agent Gallery and retry the intended item. A failed preview does not confirm installation. |
| Password verification failed | Re-enter the authorized password. After repeated failure, confirm it with its owner. |
| Install failed | Read the displayed error and correct the stated access, package, or connection issue before retrying. |
| Agent did not open | Search Agent Studio by the confirmed name. Do not install another copy until you verify the result. |
If the result remains unclear, preserve the success or error message and contact your iDialogue administrator or iDialogue Support.
Use this guide with a coding agent
A coding agent can retrieve this guide, explain the browser steps, and inspect authorized Salesforce metadata or installed records when the user requests it. This guide grants no browser or Salesforce authority; the visitor's workspace instructions, enabled tools, permissions, and confirmations govern those actions. Never infer that an agent exists without verifying the connected org.
The connected org is authoritative for live state. Review AI & Agent Governance before enabling the installed agent for broader use.
