Docusign Connection

Docusign

Docusign app icon

The Docusign connection checks whether the Docusign eSignature for Salesforce Apex Toolkit is installed in your Salesforce org. The Toolkit uses the dfsle Apex namespace.

Connection status

  • Connected: iDialogue detected the installed Apex Toolkit.
  • Needs setup: iDialogue did not detect the Toolkit. A Salesforce administrator must install the package.

Connected confirms package presence only. It does not check your Docusign account connection, sender permissions, subscription, or ability to send an envelope. Opening Connections or selecting Refresh All does not create or send an envelope.

Install and check the package

  1. Open the iDialogue Admin app in Salesforce and select Connections.
  2. If Docusign shows Needs setup, select Configure to open the Docusign eSignature for Salesforce listing on AppExchange.
  3. Have a Salesforce administrator install the package in the same org and complete the Docusign Salesforce setup instructions.
  4. Return to Connections and select Refresh All. The card shows Connected when iDialogue detects the Toolkit.

If the card still shows Needs setup, check Setup > Installed Packages in the current org. Confirm that the installed package includes the Docusign eSignature Apex Toolkit, then refresh again. Contact your Salesforce administrator if the status does not change.

Document Builder integration

The planned integration will invoke Apex to create Docusign envelopes from Salesforce ContentVersion documents generated by Document Builder. This connection update supplies the installation check and setup guidance. It does not add envelope creation, sending, or delivery tracking.

Return to the Connections catalog.
