Smarty API
Smarty API enables iDialogue agents to verify and standardize US postal addresses in approved workflows.
The current verify_address tool supports US addresses only. International address verification and business enrichment are not available in this tool.
Address verification results
The tool returns a verification status and a compact set of address signals:
- Deliverability: confirmed, warning, or not confirmed.
- A non-postal match where Smarty recognizes the address but USPS delivery is not confirmed.
- A missing or unrecognized suite or unit number.
- A Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA), such as a private mailbox provider.
- A PO Box or General Delivery address.
- Residential or commercial use.
- Vacancy, no-stat, inactive, and R7 delivery warnings.
- A standardized suite or unit value when Smarty returns one.
Use these signals as review inputs. A signal does not prove fraud. If required suite or unit information is unresolved, review the address before you update Salesforce.
Credit consumption: the verify_address tool consumes 20 credits per address verification.
